{"id":1652,"date":"2014-03-27T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-27T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webdev.flars.net\/WORDPRESS\/?p=1652"},"modified":"2021-08-15T23:29:45","modified_gmt":"2021-08-15T21:29:45","slug":"christians-attire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chiaralubich.org\/en\/archivio-scritti-en\/christians-attire\/","title":{"rendered":"Christians\u2019 attire"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Rome, 1963<\/h1>\n<p><em>An invitation to the joy of the Gospel<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quotation\">\n<p><strong>At times, O Lord, amidst the vanity strolling the city streets, frivolous activities, superficiality, sadness and haste in people everywhere, in every person who passes us by, suddenly the rustle of the habit, the silent and angelic passing of a \u201clittle sister of Foucald,\u201d decidedly humble and unassuming, proclaims to our souls the ideal of her founder who shouted the gospel with his life. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"quotation\">\n<p><strong>And in us is reborn more vehemently the desire that we too should \u201cspeak you,\u201d we too should \u201cshout you.\u201d But how can we, by our own mere passing by, \u201cgive you\u201d to the world, \u201cspeak you\u201d to the world, be your witnesses, preach you, when we are dressed like everyone else, lost in the crowd as Jesus and Mary were in their times?
