Chiara di Assisi e Chiara Lubich, due carismi in comunione. Un largo nei pressi della Basilica d’Assisi dedicato a Chiara Lubich Un singolare convegno, tenutosi ad Assisi ha messo a confronto due carismi, uno antico e uno attuale. “Chiara d’Assisi e Chiara Lubich: due carismi in comunione”, è un evento che viene ad arricchire l’Anno Clariano con cui si vuole fare memoria, della conversione e consacrazione a Dio di Chiara di Assisi, nell’VIII centenario, attestando l’attualità della sua figura. La profonda comunione tra i carismi delle due Chiara è richiamo luminoso per raccoglierne l’eredità e vivere con fedeltà il messaggio anche oggi. Tra i relatori principali Lucia Abignente del Centro Chiara Lubich. E’ stato poi dedicato a Chiara Lubich un largo di strada nei pressi della Basilica Superiore di San Francesco. Nel dare la sua benedizione al “Largo Chiara Lubich” mons. Sorrentino ha augurato che il luogo fosse “richiamo per tutti a considerare ogni strada come luogo di incontro e dialogo con tutti”. Procuratevi non il cibo che perisce…

Commento alla Parola di Vita: Procuratevi non il cibo che perisce, ma quello che dura per la vita eterna, e che il Figlio dell'uomo vi darà (Gv 6,27) Gesù, dopo aver sfamato le moltitudini con la moltiplicazione dei pani presso il lago di Tiberiade, si era trasferito di nascosto sull'altra riva, nella zona di Cafarnao, per sottrarsi alla folla che voleva farlo re. Molti, tuttavia, si erano messi ugualmente alla ricerca di lui e lo avevano raggiunto. Egli però non accetta il loro entusiasmo troppo interessato. Essi hanno mangiato del pane miracoloso, ma si sono fermati al puro vantaggio materiale senza cogliere il significato profondo di quel pane, che mostra in Gesù l'inviato del Padre per dare la vera vita al mondo. Do not work for food that perishes…

Commetary on the Word of Life: Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. (Jn 6:27) After having fed the crowds through the multiplication of loaves and fishes near the Sea of Galilee, Jesus slipped away to the other side of the lake, to Capernaum, in order to escape the crowd that wanted to make him king. There were many who looked and still found him.Jesus, however, did not accept their enthusiastic, yet self-seeking plans. They had eaten the miraculous bread, but had seen in that event only their personal, material gain. Come Maria

Like Mary

And when the disciples were reunited together with Mary, the Holy Spirit vehemently invested them and they spoke words of life with an incredible strength and convinced thousands of people to follow Jesus. And they baptized and built up the Church. With Mary... it was the presence of love, of a new love.
