In 1999, Chiara Lubich met with young people from around the world gathered at the Mariapolis Centre in Castel Gandolfo, Rome. On that occasion, she shared with them the first accounts of the experience she had lived through during the summer of 1949 in Tonadico, in Valle di Primiero, Italy; thus began a mystical and illuminating experience that would come to be known as Paradise '49.

The book presentation in L’Aquila, Italy, was not only a cultural event but also an opportunity to reflect on the value of fraternity and dialogue.
On 22 May 2026, the launch of the volume Paradise ’49 by Chiara Lubich — published by Città Nuova and the Chiara Lubich Centre — took place in Rome, within the prestigious setting of the Paul VI Hall at the Pontifical Lateran University.
Venerdì 22 maggio, dalle 16.30 alle 18.30, l’Aula Paolo VI a Roma (P.zza S. Giovanni in Laterano, 4) ospiterà il convegno “CONDIVIDERE LA VITA DI DIO. UNA MISTICA PER L’OGGI”. L'evento, moderato da Anna Maria Rossi del Centro Chiara Lubich, presenterà Paradiso '49, prezioso volume che arricchisce la "Collana Opere di Chiara Lubich".
Domenica 17 maggio, la Sala Mattioli di Parma ha ospitato l’evento conclusivo “Parma: la scommessa della fraternità”.
