Exhibition dedicated to Chiara Lubich to be inaugurated in Rome
Focolare Meeting Point, Rome, 15 -16 March 2025
Focolare Meeting Point, Rome, 15 -16 March 2025
The initiative was promoted by the Ecumenical Chair “Patriarch Athenagoras – Chiara Lubich” of the Sophia University Institute in collaboration with Centro Uno (the Focolare Movement's Centre for the Unity of Christians).
On the occasion of her eightieth birthday, Chiara was awarded the Honorary Citizenship of Rome.
Chiara Lubich highlights the fact that the poor are not so much those who do not have, but rather those who give. "The 'poor in spirit', because while they have gone without, have everything; they are poor in themselves yet they are rich in God. The evangelical phrase also applies here: "Give and it will be given to you" (Lk 6:38): we give what we have and we are given back nothing less than the Kingdom of heaven." The text is published in C. LUBICH, "Parole di Vita", edited by Fabio Ciardi, “Opere di Chiara Lubich”, Città Nuova-Centro Chiara Lubich, Rome 2017, p. 704.
