È più facile infatti trovare in un cuore lontano da Dio la devozione verso di Lei che la devozione verso Gesù.È universalmente amata.E il motivo è questo, che Maria è Madre. Le madri, in genere, specie dai figli piccoli, non sono “capite”, sono amate, e non è raro il caso, anzi frequentissimo, che anche un uomo di ottant’anni muoia pronunciando come ultima parola: “mamma”.La mamma è più oggetto d’intuizione del cuore che di speculazione dell’intelletto, è più poesia che filosofia, perché è troppo reale e fonda, vicina al cuore umano.Così è di Maria, la Madre delle madri, che la somma di tutti gli affetti, le bontà, le misericordie delle mamme del mondo non riesce ad eguagliare.Gesù sta in certo modo più di fronte a noi: le sue divine e splendenti parole sono troppo diverse
