Ma non è così. Se in questo modo ragioniamo, che cristiani siamo? E dov'è allora la fede nella Comunione dei Santi? ... ... Nessuno è perduto di quelli che entrano in Dio: ché, se qualcosa valeva realmente nel fratello che ora ha la vita mutata, ma non tolta, questa era la carità. Sì, perché tutto passa. Passano persino, con la scena di questo mondo, le virtù della fede e della speranza. La carità resta. Ora quell'amore che il nostro fratello ci portava, quell'amore vero perché avente radice in Dio, quell'amore rimane. E Dio non è così poco generoso con noi da toglierci ciò che Lui stesso ci aveva donato. Ora ce lo dà in altra maniera. E quel fratello, quei fratelli continuano ad amarci con una carità ora che non subisce oscillazioni, ma cresce. Noi, piuttosto, dobbiamo credere

No one who enters into God is lost: because if anything remains in a brother or sister for whom “life is changed not taken away,” it is charity.Yes, because everything passes. Even faith and hope pass away with the rest of the world as we know it. Only charity remains (see 1 Cor 13:8).Now, what remains is the love that our brother or sister had for us, if it was a true love, rooted in God.
