Firenze, 17 maggio 1986 Da un discorso di Chiara Lubich a una Giornata del Movimento per la vita. Un importante intervento in cui Chiara non parla “in cattedra” ma a partire dalla suo aver sperimentato che il dolore accolto avvicina a Dio. Santità come dono

Rocca di Papa, 10 maggio 1991 Dal diario di Chiara Lubich Straordinaria comunicatrice, Chiara Lubich non ha mai tenuto per sé le luci, le spinte dello Spirito Santo, le verifiche sempre nuove dell’attualità della Parola di Dio. La sua vita è un libro aperto nel quale tutti possono leggere.Anche sul tema della santità, Chiara non è stata avara e ha comunicato le esperienze interiori, gli sforzi e i propositi come per formare un “sistema di carrucole spirituali che solleveranno il mondo”. Nel cammino alla santità puntava all’essenziale, in piena linea con il Nuovo Testamento (“Siate perfetti come il Padre vostro celeste” Mt 5,48. “La volontà di Dio è la vostra santificazione”, 1 Tess 4,3) e anticipando quello che il Vaticano II definirà chiamata universale alla santità (cf. Holiness as a gift

From Chiara Lubich's diaryRocca di Papa, 10 may 1991 An extraordinary communicator, Chiara Lubich never kept for herself the spiritual enlightenments, the inspirations of the Holy Spirit, the ever new confirmation of the relevance of the Word of God. Her life was an open book that everyone can read.With regard to holiness, Chiara did not keep to herself her inner experiences, efforts and intentions but she communicated them, as if to form a “system of spiritual pulleys that will hold up the world.” In her journey towards holiness she aimed at what is essential, what is in full accordance with the New Testament (“Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect” Mt 5:48. “For this is the will of God, your sanctification,” 1 Thess 4:3) and anticipating what the Second Vatican Council will define as the universal call to holiness (cf. LG 39-42). Her charism places emphasis on love as the way of perfection, a love that is gift. It’s this aspect of gift and “gift for others” that stands out
