Roma (Città Nuova), 10 novembre 1992 Commento alla Parola di vita: Accoglietevi gli uni gli altri come Cristo ha accolto voi, per la gloria di Dio(Rm 15,7) Queste parole sono una delle raccomandazioni finali rivolte da san Paolo nella sua lettera ai cristiani di Roma. Questa comunità, come del resto tante altre sparse nel mondo greco-romano, era formata da credenti che provenivano in parte dal paganesimo ed in parte dal giudaismo, quindi con mentalità, formazione culturale e sensibilità spirituale molto diverse. Questa diversità dava adito a giudizi, prevenzioni, discriminazioni ed intolleranze degli uni verso gli altri, che certamente non si accordavano con quella accoglienza reciproca che Dio avrebbe voluto da loro. Per aiutarli a superare tali difficoltà l'Apostolo non trova mezzo più efficace che farli riflettere sulla grazia della loro conversione. (Rom 15:7) These words are some of Paul’s final guidance in his letter to the Christians in Rome. This community, like many others spread throughout the Graeco-Roman world, was composed of believers who came partly from pagan and partly from Jewish origins. Therefore their mindsets, their cultural backgrounds and their spiritual sensitivities were very different. Such diversity gave an opening to judgements, prejudices, discrimination and intolerance towards others that were certainly not in accord with the mutual welcome that God wanted them to have. To help them overcome these difficulties, Paul found there was no better way than to make them reflect upon the grace of their conversion. Secondo te, che cosa bisognerebbe fare per avere una vera devozione verso Maria ?” Al solo pensiero di parlar di Maria sento tremarmi l’anima e battere il cuore. È questo tale argomento che supera ogni nostra facoltà e al posto della parola meglio sarebbe il silenzio. Maria ! La straordinaria fra tutte le creature, l’eccelsa fino ad essere investita del titolo e della realtà di Madre di Dio e perciò l’Immacolata, l’Assunta, la Regina, la Madre della Chiesa. Maria è più vicina a Dio che all’uomo, eppure è creatura come noi creature, e tale davanti al Creatore. Di qui la possibilità per lei d’esser per noi come un piano inclinato che tocca cielo e terra e quindi, pur nel suo esser straordinario: bambina, giovanetta, fidanzata, madre, sposa, vedova… come noi che, ciascuno nella propria età e nella propria condizione, possiamo
